Speaking with someone the other day we had a discussion on Offshore Lures with eyes . Do you guys feel eyes in lures make a differance or not ?

Yes Sir!

I prefer lures with "wacky eyes" ~ the ones that wobble back-and-forth (like the ones you get at a craft store). I think my green machine with wobbly eyes outfishes my green machine with red eye stickers. I even glue huge wobbly eyes on my bunker spoons!

Mike, I make a lot of my offshore lures, some have eyes, some don't. I don't really see any difference in hookups using mine or the "Pro" made ones. I think it is more in your own head what you like and don't like. There are a lot of lures out there designed to catch fisherman, not fish. Remember what P.T. Barnum said?

I really think the eyes make a difference.Large movable eyes seem to be effective when Marlin fishing.I
don't know if it's as important for Tuna.

Cedar Plug

I think it's more about the movement of the lure than it is about the eyes. Can anyone explain the cedar plug ??
