Had some new reel bail issue and lost 3 plugs that I recently finished from NJTackle.:(

See thread on Bail failure;BailFail
2 (danny & Musso torpedo) due to the Bail closing prematurely and the Pikie lost when the clip failed.
The only good news that the replacements have arrived!

"unlisted Tip" ask for A-40 nicely.
I am attempting to try painting and tying some bucktails as well.

Not sure how to do the link to the reel maintenance thread.

Hello Rac

Thanks,
You can see the problem I had in the Reel Maintenance board. The Bail was closing during the cast and caused the break in the line.
I hope I solved the problem.
I was not going to buy anymore kits for awhile, but the loss lures gave me an excuse to replace the 3 (plus 3 extras).
I enjoy the process of the lure building.

Agreed!

Nice fish!!
Where was it caught may I ask?
Still looking for my first striper this year. All Blues so far.
Did a little light plugging in JB Piers last night, thats why I answered at 2A.m.. 10:30-12: Incoming, nothing but eel grass, seaweed, and anything else that floated off the the shoreline.

I bought a $25 rotisserie motor from Target. Tryin to figure out how to make it into a plug spin/dyer. I saw the sticky, but thats beyond my skill in building an advance setup and I don't need to dry so many.
I like Rockfish's concept, and I only need 1 row as opposed to three.
Thinking about using the existing hardware if I can figure out how to attach swivels to the rotissere forks' prongs

Keep on plugging.

30-33" My guess. Shinne**** Canal North or South shore?

I'll be near 3 mile Harbor tomorrow. We(friend's boat)usually head out to Plum gut area to Cartwright etc.

Thanks for the pic(s).
That is the setup I was thinking about. The forks do come off but I was going to retain them. I was thinking about using the pegboard/wood disc idea and sticking the forks through the disc. Trim off the excess fork length then reverse mount on the rotis. shaft.
I was trying to figure the best way to put swivels on the board, but I like the spring setup you used. This way I can adjust the fork with the thumb screws and keep the tension adjustable with the springs.
Do you find that you wished you had swivels so you can turn the plug to get a spot you missed with the epoxy?
I'll check back later.

yes i'm putting duo locks with barrel swivels with the springs.i tryed 8 plugs at once it was to much trying to hook them together, thats why i put the hanger bar across the top 3 days drying time is a little to long for a patient guy like me
the bass was 31" caught it in shinne**** bay they where hitting big plugs that week.its been all skinny stuff the passed few nites[needles, yozuri darters] i still throw a few of mine you never know, good luck out there
