I was at work today and all I could think about was bunker splashing in the ocean. There calling me!! After work checked the radar as it was raining by me and it didnt look that good. 10 Minutes later checked it again and not that good. 15 minutes later I think I might have a chance to get out. Tick Tock, Tick Tock. I said whats the worst thing I get soaked? Grabbed my stuff and ran down to the boat. Headed straight out to the ocean for some nice swells and it was difficult to find the bunker. Found a pod and first snag and fish on. Second cast fish on and third cast fish on. Bluefish one after the next all about 15 LBs and it was not what I was looking for. Headed to another pod and found 1 nice 44 inch FAT Bass waiting for my Bunker. I'm waiting for my scale since my other one broke but I would put her around 37LBS. She was extremely fat. The picture doesn't do her justice. She was hooked in the corner of the lip which was just what I wanted. Gave her a couple of kisses and sent her on her way. Lost 2 more bass in the pod and headed in. Not a bad day at all.
