Took a ride over to the North Shore this morning to check out the Fluking Fished for a few hours and never had insne action but the fish are there and ready to eat. I didn't see much bait and the Fluke we did boat weren't coughing up too much bait either. Did manage our limit of 4 so I'm not complaining. I'm sure within the next couple of weeks they're going to move in really strong.
The fish came on a variety of jigs and teasers. I caught my first few on those new Daiwa Conch jigs and my biggest on a nice 4 inch Squid imitation tipped with a big live Mummy. The Conch jigs were tipped with spearing and fresh squid. They were pretty consistent on both baits, one didnt out fish the other.
Did see a couple Bunker schools across so the bait is starting to show. I think by next week it's going to be time for some Fluke/Striper combo trips. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it's finally the time we've been waiting for. Let the games begin.
