Think there might be a "Team OMD" this year. Not sure who my partner/s in crime are yet, but I am really looking foward to it this year. (missed last years)

This is a very fair tourny. Especially for the "middle" sound guys. West end and east end get the brutes. Middle get average ones and that's what this tourny is all about - average - Bass.

Our team is rarin to go! Our test run this past weekend did not fare well I'm afraid. We could only do a half day run. We had a perfect incoming tide in the morning to no avail. This coming weekend is the one that counts anyway and hopefuuly we'll do better. It's all about having some fun anyway. We're sailing with my son and my two brothers. It's a family affair. Good fishing to all in the tournament, have fun folks!!!!

What's Your Team Name

Here is a link to all the team names of those people that have registered online.

http://www.noreast.com/noreasttournaments/teams.cfm?t=7

Some good ones in there! My favorite is team time-bomb only because that guy called me to tell me why his name was that. "Because we are gonna BLOW UP!" haha

This is only about half the teams because we also have those people who register at the shops. There are 113 boats online, which is a good indicator that we have about 100 boats out there signed up at the shop.

Remember that there is a port prize of $1,000 for anglers who weigh in the heaviest combined for there port (NY, NJ, CT, RI). Get ready baby!! It is Tourney time! You have until 12:00 am to sign up!

How come only the top 15 teams are listed on the results of the tourny?

Also... 40 pound range for 34 inch stripers? Where are you guys getting fish of that size consistantly? (Same guys are on the leader board)??

I mean we literally caught in excess of 100 stripers Sat & Sun and managed to catch only 5 fish UNDER 34 inches. I have never in my life had such a good weekend catching 50+ plus inch fish over and over all day long. I really thought we had a chance at placing in the top ten after we managed to put 5 fish small enough to fit the range.

To my shock I saw the results as they started to get posted around 3:46 and couldn't believe it when I saw the final results!! Where are you guys getting fish that manage to bulk up in weight and staying UNDER 34 inches? Thats a serious question (not looking for GPS co-ordinates but more of a general area just bit more descriptive than "The Eastern Sound" I hope)

Intersting, I agree with you that over 40lbs of Bass in that slot range is pretty big. Maybe they were big females. I dunno, but I'm sure we will get the scoop soon enough. All winners do have to take a lie detector test.

Congrats to all the winners.
