Received phone call last week from a TX based not for profit organization that is heading the search. He was looking for someone to take out divers to investigate targets located by NOAA survey ship Thomas Jefferson.

NOAA Vessels

These were probably the Bigelow and the Albatross, NOAA fisheries research vessels operating out of NMFS Northeast Fisheries Science Center in Woods Hole, MA. The Bigelow is a new vessel that is slated to replace the Albatross, and I think that they are operating together to compare how the two vessels fish differently to minimize any bias when the Albatross is retired and the Bigelow takes over. The website for the Ecosystems Survey Branch at NMFS is NMFS Surveys

I'm sure if you gave someone a call up there they would be able to give you more information.
