I'm clueless when it comes to night fishing, but as i get more and more into fishing work stops me from going all day!?!?!?

my question is: can you use tackle? like poppers and stuff or is it bait only? i have never caught anything on like a bucktail at night....

anybody?

In my opinion, bait and lures both work good at night. Stripers and blues switch to contrast vision at night so dark surface lures as well as wide, dark profile lures get their attention. Bait such as eels and bunker chunks have worked for me in the past as well.
I like to work my bunker chunks along the bottom. I never let them sit too long in one place.
