paddling day!

i bought a hobie for my wife and its amazing. well thought out for fishing and paddling in general. the 2008 model has a few improvements over the 07.
the drive is smooth and fast even without the turbo kit.

i got a prowler trident for myself and its an awesome boat as well.
you can try mine if they dont have one, mine has gps/fish finder as well.

i will say the boats are heavy and throwing them up on the car by yourself isnt easy. especially after paddling around for a few hours.
other than that they have been great!

see you guys there!

The weather Gods are smiling upon the seminar this Saturday

Even Al Greek likes the coming weather pattern

THIS is my favorite time of year to fish from my kayak. I've a few North Shore areas that I've not visited in awhile but plan to paddle soon...fishing gear astride my trusty old weather beaten kayaking craft.

I just signed in for this Saturdays seminar and I'm looking forwad to being there and learning whatever I can. Always something new to see and learn about at these great seminars that Walleyman and Noreast put together

My thanks to Noreast and Captain Kayak for putting on this seminar.

The information provided benefited both newbies and seasoned kayakers. The in the water safety demonstration done by Steve McDonald and Elizabeth O'Connor was worth the admission price.

There was a informative presentation by Frank Copren on dry suits.

All benefited from Jerry's talk on kayak rigging.

"Crazy Al" talked for well over an hour and was available for the remainder of the day and answered many question. He provided one on one Fly casting instruction on a technique he recently learned from Lefty.

There was opportunity to try many different kayaks including the Heritage peddle drive, Hobies Adventure Island and many more.

The BBQ was outstanding when you consider a Big Mack meal will cost you almost 10 bucks, what Dockers put on for $20 was unreal.

There was some great raffle prizes, PFDs, Craftmates, paddles, Hobie sunglasses, seats, a signed print from AL and much more. I think everybody won something.

IT WAS A GREAT DAY, THANKS AGAIN!
