EC were can I have a Newell reel repaired by an authorized shop in the eastern Nassau or western suffolk area? Lou

I dunno about authorized, but Causeway has parts/service and J&H also services them. Almost any other shop will send the reel back to Newell.
quick release...skatemaster gave you a correct answer...their are few shops on Long Island that actually do in house servicing for newells. Bernies in Brooklyn, and Causeaway on Merrick Rd, since they actually stock newell parts, come to mind immediately.
You have two options...first contact Newell, and ask for NORMA in parts. Ship the reel back to Glendale California with a check for 45 dollars i believe now...this i would do if its something major. Your other option is to come by my house, and bring the reel over, and i will take a look at it, and see what i can do. I do not know what the problem is since you never stated it in your post, but i can tell you after looking at it! What series reel is it?
