What are you thoughts on the 338 Newell with a 3.6 ratio. I was going to get the 332, but since I have a 322 I thought the extra line capacity and using 40 lb test the 38 would be more useful. I will be using it for Eeling for bass, baitfishing blues and Deepwater bottom fishing

The 338 3.6 happens to be a fine reel when using MONO. I do not like using a reel this wide if i had a preference, but then again, i usually fish spectra and use the 322 and 332 reels. This reel is good fishing lines upto 40lb test, and with the 3.6 gear ratio you have a reel that can pull fish with the best reels in its class. For what you are using it for, thats as close to the perfect reel you will find.
