Hey Anglers,

My name is Craig and I am an avid fisherman and shark biologist! I own the NY-based non-profit, O'Seas Conservation Foundation that focuses on youth education and shark research. We've been in operation for 4 years and will be running our shark camp this summer in Montauk. This is an exciting opportunity for 8th-12th grade students to get their hand dirty and get involved in some real shark research, where they will catch, tag, and release sharks, track sharks, extensively fish, and learn a variety of different research techniques used to survey the seafloor (baited camera systems, troll pros).

Our camp is just about full, but thought i'd inform you that we have a full scholarship provided by the Greg Norman Company for one 8th-12th grade youth to participate in our week-long camp over the summer for free (http://www.oseasfdn.org/greg-norman-scholarship). The scholarship entry deadline is April 1st, but if you know of a kid who loves Marine Biology and wants to learn the tools of the trade and even go swimming with a shark at the Long Island Aquarium, I suggest you have them apply. Here is a quick video we made of the program (
). There are a bunch of Shark Camp videos on the youtube channel so you can see our activities.

Thanks so much and hope to get some essays for the scholarship soon!

Kind Regards,

Craig
