Striped Bass May 1st-June 30th:
FIRST PLACE: David Schaller 48 1/2 lbs
SECOND PLACE: Vinny Iacuone 45 3/4 lbs
THIRD PLACE: Leo Ferrity 37 lbs
The first place angler will be going to the Florida Keys for four days of fishing! All of the finishers will receive a trophy, fishing trips and a special invitation to our awards dinner celebration. Congratulations!
There are 3 fishing contests remaining: Entree fee = $20 each including membership or "The Special": all 3 contests + membership for $50.
1st Contest: July through August ? LARGEST FLUKE ONLY
2nd Contest: September through October ? LARGEST BLUEFISH ONLY
3rd Contest: October through November ? LARGEST BLACKFISH ONLY
First Prize:
For Contests # 1 & 3: Cabo San Lucas, Mexico ? 4 Nights stay at hotel, 4 days fishing. Includes airfare and ground transportation.
For Contests # 2: Marathon in the Florida Keys - 4 Nights stay at hotel, 4 days fishing. Includes airfare and ground transportation.
There will be up to 10 prizes for each contest and a trophy.
* Each contest ends at the end of the second month.
* Children under 18 of members are automatically entered in a special children?s division for FREE. Children are eligible to win trophies and fishing tackle.
* FOR CHILDREN: You simply send in your child?s weigh in slips with their name and yours and their date of birth.
Tentative special awards night one week before the Super Bowl in 2009
* $50 special includes - $25 membership and all 3 contests = $85 value
Requirements:
1. You must be a member.
2. You must be 18 years or older.
3. Fish must be caught in New York City or Long Island waters, including all Long Island Sound, Block Island, and Ambrose Channel, NY Bright.
4. Weigh in slips are provided to use with the weigh in at any local tackle shop. Tackle shop employee will sign as weigh master. The slips will be due with in two weeks of closing date. A call will be made to the angler and weigh master to confirm the fish weighed in.
