Hi,
http://www.asmfc.org/
I don't like the idea about commercial harvest in the eez federal waters. Wouldn't this open up the offshore big bass area in the winter off the Carolinas? If so say good by to a lot more big bass.
"The Board decided to increase the coastal commercial quota to 100% of the average landings during the
base period of 1972-1979. Delaware?s allocation of the commercial quota will remain equivalent to its
allocation in 2002. As for the recreational fishery, the Board opted to maintain the current coastal
recreational measures with two fish at 28 inches. The Chesapeake Bay quota for striped bass will
managed under a fishing mortality rate of 0.27."
You should start writing and let them know how you feel about this.
