I'm not 100% as to the proper application for a 6:1 "40"-sized levelwinder, but I present it for you continuing M.I.T. degree studies anyway.

I've seen the large Tekota level winds rigged for wire line use at a popular tackle shop so I guess Daiwa wants in on the game. Wouldn't be my choice however ...

I'm sure that will end up in the hands of many Alaskan Halibut and ling cod fisherman.....many seem to prefer levelwinds there...I imagine b/c of the cold. Also, I could see it as being decent for giving to novices down south fishing grouper and snapper.

40 levelwind for deepwater

I like the levelwind for the deepwater/ tile fishing. The Tekota 800 is perfect for that. Gets tiring guiding that much braid on the Saltist 40. I would gladly take one!
