Just got the new Avet 4/0 2spd
It looks like it going to be a **** of a cod fishing reel
As you can see its about the size of
113h on the right.
It's suppose to be almost maintance free,2spd,great drag, great free spool I think Avet has a winner in this reel.
N&S just got a new shipment of reels
when I picked up mine
He has the SX,JX,LX and the EX 4/0 2spd
He only has a few, Avet is backed up
so first come first serve

Codkiller good question

You know I wanted N&S to get me that info for me and I forgot to ask
It not on Avets website or on the box or spec sheet
Its about the same of maybe an ounce
heaver than a 113H
Tomorrow when I go to the butchers
I'll throw it on his scale and let you know
I just can belive that the EX 4/0 2spd is cheaper than a Shimano baitcaster
man the guard for the drag lever and drag knob looks like it made of Titanium

Looks like the Avet is similar to a Shimano Tiagra. And i wonder why Avet would come out with a full size 4/0 first, instead of coming out with the shortened YTS size which is now the rage in 4/0 size reels...........

I don't know maybe because of the 2sp gearing or who knows maybe it's on avet"s drawing board
That would be a great Jigging reel
A avet narrow spool 2sp 4/0 ala YTS
You can use the full size for baiting and the narrow for tossing jigs even though you can toss jig a ways with the free spool on the EX
