Well after my first day at work since last thursday I finally have time to say HELLO to all my N'or East friends.

I took a weekend for myself without the family
I arrived in charlottsville V.A. @ 9:05 a.m. on friday and within 2 minutes met up with my buddy Dave and wehre back to his place by 11:30, with the first 5 feet walking to his house I caught a baby toad and baby garter snake (safely released)
and planning the weekend of relaxing, fishing

and having a few too many beers
.
Friday evening we set out for the lake across the street from Daves house2 minutes from driveway to boat launch, I have been looking foward to this for months(actually since my last fishing trip with Dave last November
(
Well once we were on the water all the stress I brought down from N.Y just seemed to slip away. As I made my first cast with A lightweight spinning rod I was like wow Why the **** did I wait so long to fish

I did not do too well with only one little bass, but it was still a great time.
Saturday morning took a 1-1/2 hour ride to Lake Anna. This place is incredible
.
250 miles of shoreline, and beautiful homes spaced very far apart were making me see I may be willing to become a N.Y. transplant
Dave informed me before we even made the trip, he had only been on it once before and to not expect to catch fish, as it was more of a trip to just check out the lake and how incredible it was.It was like being on the bay and by the time we left at 10:00 a.m. it was like being near Jones inlet on a Sunday afternoon, with jetskies, raceboats yatacs excedera
.
Saturday night we hade a great BBQ and had a few friends over for drinks.
Sunday morning back to Green Lake for another shot at fish.
Well did great with about 8 bass with about another 8 missed fish all on lures/plastics.
Sunday eve another great meal, but I had to go fish from the shoreline, Dave had to be at work at 10:00 p.m.
So about 9 p.m.
I grabbed a few lures, and a pack of hotdogs and a few beers to try to land a fish. First 5 minutes landed 2 bass on a popper in the dark, then decided to see if catfish would take a chunk of hotdog(I chummeded with chopped hotdogs). Well I still don't know if catfish eat hotdogs, becaue after about 10 minutes I was swarmed with bats everywere
There were hundreds of them, hitting ny line chasing my rod tip, and then after a few more minutes bouncing off of me
guess they had no sonar/rader signal
.
So I decided to pack it in at about 10:30, clean up and be ready for my flight back to N.Y. at 6 a.m.
I can't wait to go back
