I just got off the phone with my brother. He just moved back to Ocracoke Island from Charlotte. Unfortunately, he doesn't want to take the 1975 Triumph TR6 he inherited from my Dad in october. He is concerned that the car will be rusted out in all of the salt air.

He asked if I want it because he feels it wouldn't be right selling it since it was my Dad's baby. I just set up an ad on uship.com and can't wait to get the car up here. My father had the thing completely restored.

This is a pic from the internet but the car is the same color and year. The only difference is the side mirrors are mounted on the front fenders. I'll post some pics as soon as I can.

my first car was a 73 tr6 make shure the frame is in good shape .the rear lower controle arms have habit of falling off due to rust.and now you have a british car you have to learn the lingo hood=bonnet fender =wing and learn to diagnose relay problems thats why the brits drink warm beer lucas makes refrigarators too

This was my Dad's baby. He had the restoration done somewhere in CT. My good friend Chuck owns a battery store so the 2 6 volts wont be hard to get at a decent price. I can't wait. I'll register as a classic, therefore, no inspection/safety check. Historic plates, low insurance premiums. I'm F'N psyched. Not to mention that it was my Dad's baby. he took really good care of this car.

I'm F'N pumped.

atunahead...very cool!....a friend had one and I drove it for a week once...very distinct engine sound...I think the color was called British racing green? Haven't seen one in a long time.... Enjoy!

You don't see many around anymore.

I had a white one back in the late 70's, don't remember the model year.

I had a fresh coat of paint and new decals put on it, it looked great. Put a new clutch in it also, the transmission was removed from inside the car. I fondly remember cruising over the Robert Moses causeway with the top down going to the beach with my new bride.
