Went out this morning for a paddle around the bay. I didn't bring the rod because I was only going to go for a little ride. (forgot the camera too) I wasn't out there 15 minutes when the water began to boil around me, now I've been in the middle of blitzes in the boat but never in a Kayak.
The Blues were slamming into the kayak so hard they were rocking it, at one point I thought that I may have a few jumping into the boat but no such luck. Then they were gone as fast as they came. This was incredible and I can see what the attraction to kayak fishing is for people

, I know that I'm hooked now. You can be sure that when that kayak hits the water from now on there will be a rod onboard whether I want to fish or not that day.

Just thought that I would share.

To bad you didn't have a fishing rod handy but still you experienced being in the middle of a blitz with a kayak.

First blitz

It's awesome to be in a blitz and to be up close and personal. I always bring my rod and camera. Every time I went out without my rod there always seemed to be fish blitzing. Maybe I should camouflage my rod and fool them. Hmm.... It will never work. lol! Tight lines.
