Anyone on the island useing multi season bottom paint and hauling for the winter was wondering if it works with boats that get laid up for 6 months..

Yep,been using Micron Extra for the past seven seasons. You can paint, haul out, store the boat, and then re-launch with no loss of effectiveness. I bottom paint every other season.

how many coats yo put on

Minimum two. I do not put on thin coats and will put three coats on high wearing areas. For my 19' CC I use about a gallon and a quart. Good prep and weather windows are important for a good job. My least favorite chore of boat ownership!!
