Ok, so the mullet abound on the south shore...who has some decent patterns? Here's on I'll share... it's called the G-string mullet. Don't ask!

Never tried it, but I would think Popovics "clone" in blue over white, black herl would do the trick. Looks something like the one you have here. They are more bouyant, durable, and match the cigar like shape of a mullet.

johnnyg very nice. I'm sure the G-string mullet fly is a winner. Heres a link for the tying instructions for the only mullet fly I ever use.

Pretty much any long, flowing fly with some bulk (to push water) can work. A coating of silicon or Softex helps hold the shape.

I prefer gray over white instead of blue, but both will work.
