I asked this question last year. Has anyone ever used a product called Motion Eaze?? There has been a booth at the boat show at J.Ctr. for the past few years selling it. -A couple of drops will cure you, even after your sick, full money back guarentee.
I know there is no full proof cure but I was curious to see if anyone has tried this. Thanks in advance.

Not to be negative but just as a note:
Dramimine claims that it prevents and CURES motion sickness. It does not. It prevents for most, not all and cures NOBODY(The pills get barfed up before they can have an effect).
Even when taken before the trip, etc.
Although, for a few bucks it might be worth trying Motion-Eaze.

I agree, noting on the market is fll proof. I se dram. and it works 9/10 trips for me, but I'm ready to pass out on the way home, and dont like taking it on short trips. I'm glad someone tried it, I'll give it a shot. Thanks.

100% works Trans derm Scop

Get you doc to write a script for trans derm scop (scapaline). put that patch behind joe seasick the night before or at least 3 hours before getting on the boat. Last 3 days. I have been told the only side affect is a little cotton mouth- but I cant stand the sight of sea sick passenger(reminds me of a few nights that Jack Daniels beat me up) so those who get sick must put a patch on b4 we go offshore.
Don on Devocean

You get 4 in a box most insurance companys will let you get a total of 2 boxes 8 patches

Barf Bag

On a tuna trip out of Montauk back in the beginning of Sept just after a stormy weekend and i knew it was going to be very rough. I opted to use the Trans Derm Scop patches. I used it with great success when i was younger on long plane flights. I guess my luck had run out....45-50 mile s/e of the point i had a wonderful view of the inside of a spackle bucket and began to settle in for my most expensive knap EVER! Some hours later just as the point came back into full view, i came back to life like someone had just reset my circuit breaker.....

treatment

One of the problems with dramamine is that the med is diphenhydramine that is also used as a sleep aid. So folks who are doped up on the max dose of dramamine are looking for a place to lay down and sleep on the boat all day. What I have been MAKING my friends with weak stomachs take is Bonnine. It doesn't knock you out like the dramamine. Have them take it before going to bed the night before then again 1 1/2 hours before boating with a little food. Follow the box directions in taking more during the day boating if directed.. I cant remember how long it is said to last. Insist that they take the meds if they EVER have been sea sick. Better to have them smiling at the end of a bent rod than green, puking upwind of you and killing the day of fishing for all.

Best sea sick cure...

Earn your sea legs, thats the best thing to do, in the meantime however I take 1 dramamine pill 30 minutes before getting on the boat and one right when I get on. And by the way Rampage, Dramamine is actually known as Dimenhydrinate (AKA diphenhydramine 8-chlorotheophyllinate check out chemfinder.com for the structual diffrences) it is a close "relative" to diphenhydramine, but I find that it makes me no where near as tired as diphenhydramine makes me. Also if tiredness is a concern, try Dramamine II which is made of Meclizine HCL, which does not maek you tired but is supposed to be just as good.

Learning2tog, there is no way I quit fishing because of a little yacking.
I take 1 dramamine II the night before, then one in the morning. Eat Saltines, pretzels durig day. I have spooned chum one day in 4 footers and have been fine only to fluke the next day in sight of land in 2 footers and get sick.
Once I get my sea-legs, I can drink, eat, cut bait. Sometimes it takes a while. I will try Motioneaze. Anything for fishing.

electronic writ bands

Has anyone ever tried the electronic wristwatch style device for motion sickness? It is supposed to interfere with the nerve impulses that cause the symptoms. The price of this device is over $100 so it's not something I want to try without the benefit of some word of mouth.

It would sure be nice to find something that works without having to resort to chemicals. I already take enough of those. Maybe I can expand my world beyond fluke fishing! Thanks for any input.

Granted I'm one who doesn't believe in asprin, tylenol, advil etc... My .02, sea sick cures are useless and uneccesary.

If you are getting sick, look at the horizon. If you are fogged in and can't see the horizon, take a walk around on deck.. if you are stuck in a box and can't power through it - toughen up. Puke in a bad if it makes you feel better...

Sea sickness is a state of mind, you're body is just not going to keep you sea-sick forever. Focus on something else and it will go away. Cures for sea-sickness are a sort of security blanket, if you use them you will allways feel you need them.

I've tried it all...

Seriously, the best way is to get busy. If the bite is on - it's all good. Otherwise, i found Dramamine works real well for me but it does knock me out pretty fast. Bonine was better at that but i'm having trouble finding it. The bracelet didn't work on me and i couldn't return it for a refund 'cause of some regulation. Motion Ease is awaiting it's turn :) Got one bottle at the show.
