MY BOYS AND I ARE ABOUT TO TRY THE MORICHES REEF THIS WEEKEND. WHAT KIND OF BAIT AND TACKLE IS BEST FOR THIS SPOT? AND WHAT CAN I EXPECT THIS TIME OF YEAR WEATHER PERMITTING OF COURSE. THANKS FOR ALL INPUT. REGARDS ALLSTAR474

reef fishing

If you go to the reef you will be targeting seabass and blackfish (water temp 52-57) clams,squid,green crabs. the sea bass will hit any bait but if i had to choose clams and squid. rig this on a high low rig with a 5-8oz sinker. the black fish will hit soft bait also in the sping but crabs seem to get the big ones...
