Hey all-

I was thinking about picking up some lower cost spare/guest rods/reels, primarily for fishing for bass in moriches inlet. I'm normally anchored soaking clams with 6 ozs of weight on, or drifting eels with similar weight. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good lower cost option I can use as backups, lend to newbies, etc. that come out with me. Probably only get used a couple of dozen times per year.

I have a few setups I am happy with but need to add a few more of the lower cost variety. Recommendations?

Head over to J&H in Oakdale, off the Sunrise Highway. They have a large selection of inexpensive rods that would work for striper fishing along with a large selection of reels in all price ranges. You probably can put together a decent set up for $125.
