I was out on Saturday but didn't see a single fish on the flats (Bird Island), anything away from the inlet and you can't see a thing.

Has anyone had any luck sight fishing so far this year in the area?

I have been fishing the area with my fly rod. Been doing pretty well on the right tides. Last week there were bass blitz going on each evening. This week we have a nice incomming around sunset each night. get out and fish the flats more west. You will be able to get some fluke too. Fish small flies and cruse nice and slow in the boat until you see a swirl. it could take some time, but once you found a couple fish kill the engine and just start floating. You will get into them back there all summer on the flood tides that come in the morning and evening.
