rented a house in montauk for memorial day weekend, i am very new to spring surf fishing, in past years has this time of year been productive?? being new to surf fishing montauk  would it be worth ot to try and get a guide or will some times between 3 days will i find my way,thank you

The fishing out there can be genrally good in may mainly on the sand beach. you could get a guide if you feel it is necessary or just stop into a local tackle shop and ask questions.
