Had a chance to be out for the Blessing of the Fleet at Montauk with Capt. Ed on the Marlin VI Princess. If you have a chance to go to one they are very touching. After the Blessing all boats gather on the outside and the names of the guys have past during the last year are read and wreaths are placed in the water. The families are on one of the Coast Gaurd boats a pray is said and Taps are sounded. May the rest in peace.
I have been to a few of those. Watched from the dock. It was really touching with the service they had. But like Mike said, then its one big party. The kids threw water baloons at us
