depending on the line. for exemple 80 lb braided to 80 ande wont be easy to weave into like a chinese finger. you have to weave it into the braided 80 lb. japanese line is thiner so it will be easier.weave it up not less then 3 feet not more then 6 use dental floss at the point of momo to braid tie up 1 to 1 1/2 inches.wrap about 15 inches of floss around. take a smaller peice of floss about 12'fold in half place down line. the last 10-15 wraps over it. slid it thru the loop them gently pull the 12' line thru the one laying on the braid. cut of clean.

Albright Special
I prefer to use the Albright Special tied by doubling the braided line. I use it for Power Pro, Fireline and Spider wire.

power pro knot
If you buy a box of power pro braid they give you a step by step instruction on how to tie a double uni. They reccommend this for there lines and lets you trim the tag ends as close as possible to avoid guide clearence.
I use the double uni compared to the albright because the knot is able to pass throught the guides smoother.

Togmaster is right. The Albright is very rough going through the guides. I trim the leader tag end very close to prevent hangups. The double uni works very well with Power Pro, but I have had failures with it while using Fireline. Since I use both lines, I just use the knot that works for both. I also find the double uni difficult to tie a 40# flouro leader to 30# Power Pro, so that is why I use the Albright there as well. The double line Albright is a pain to tie correctly, but it is very strong when it is done right.
Special-K, what brand of line are you going to be using and what pound test is the line and leader going to be.

This is not an admonishment or any form of complaint. It so happens that the posts above are extremely useful and the type of information that I'm sure many members come here to find. However, I thought this was "A forum where we can keep you updated on new features of the site, and you can voice your questions, problems and suggestions for Noreast.com.". If the topics aren't kept somewhat true to form, eventually all will get muddled into one mass of confusing mayhem. Please don't take this the wrong way, but it's important to keep the discussions accurate in order to maintain the ease of use enabling the easy access of information and the development of topics and to maintain high user involvement and interest. I am not one of the board's hierarchy, but I have seen too many good boards fall by the wayside as interest declined because they became confusing masses of disconnected comments and dissertations. I'm sure most agree with me that this is a great board and Noreast & Co. are doing an outstanding job in providing us with a venue and "tweaking" it to our needs and wants. Let's do our part and try to utilize it in a way that will enable it to grow and become more and more interesting and informative. I know I've gone on a bit too much about this and maybe it's a bit overkill, but it's in my belief an important point.
