Has anyone had any exposure to the"new mitchell 300". Looking to buy all-around sweetwater reel for adult friend and I was wondering about this reel. (Remember when MY POP bought me my first mitchell to replace my AIREX and paid $7.50 at 2 guys from harrison.Great reel)

I'd go with a Diawa or a Shimmano.

Sorry to say the days of Mitchell's supremacy on the freshwater scene are long gone.
