Today I took off from work and i went fishing with my dad and the fishing was good. I caught striped bass one sea bass a sea robin and a suprise catch. It was a fluke. this is the latest i have ever caught a fluke.My dad didnt catch anything today. It was a flat calm this morning with an outgoing tide. As soon as i dropped down i had a short striper. i had a big hit and i dropped it down and i set the hook and it was pulling drag and i had it to the top and it was a good size bass. when my dad came with the net it ran and it let go. I made 6 drifts and had 8 bass but all shorts. the wind pick up and the spot died out so i tried floyd bennet and made two drifts and picked up a short bass then i went to the bridge and i caught 2 more shorts i had a big hit at the bridge and it was pulling drag but i couldnt set the hook. lots of bass but no keepers for me. I hope to get out wednesday and the weekend. hope the wind backs off. not a bad day off today i caught several bass. Still looking for the keeper. tight lines.
