i had to make a bunker run over to my buddies at stella maris in sheepshead bay yesterday afternoon. i was going to save them for my early morning trip but i couldnt resist the temptation to fish asap! lol!!! i hit the spot at 5:30pm and while i was scanning the water i first saw a couple of splashes then a blitz!! i was immediately into a couple of 1-2 lb ****tails but as soon as they went down it was over. when they came up again i hit 3 more before they went down again for the last time. it was very quiet with the bait until 6:50 when my 545 started singing and i set the hook into a nice 31in bass. unfortunately that was it and when my wife(who is 8mos pregnant btw) started calling i had to leave at 8:30(****!!) i took my 4yr old daughter fishing in the creek today from 11am-2pm. the tide was pretty low with a strong south wind picked that up at about 12:30. to top it off,the seaweed also became a problem as the tide started rising and i didnt get a single bite! i'll get em' in the morning!! tight lines!!!!!
