Hello,
I got some time in mid-april and would like to hit the salt with my yak and fly rod, but I'm not sure what waters will be productive then. Anything good around the New York waters? LI Sound? Bays? River mouths? Just looking for some productive striper action. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

shhhhh, dont tell anyone , its a secret , but if you poke around my reports and profile a little bit you will find your answer :)!

Some other spots, Little Neck Bay , Jamaica Bay.

Make sure you are protected properly for the cold water temperatures in April. An unexpected trip into the water in April can be fatal if you are not protected properly. This is regardless of air temperature, water temp is still cold before May or so.
