Heckuva nice striper as well...I've been reading through some
old fishing books and ran across descriptions of these old timers who were modifying their plugs and catching BIG muskies up on the St. Lawrence River...got me thinking...this one gent clipped off the back treble on a magnum sized Creek Chub Pikie, substituted a 4/0 Siwash single & hung a big copper flasher-spoon on there in back...and just cleaned up on BIG muskies

Made me curious if anybody's been doing anything like that & how it's worked (or not worked) for them...
Lure building season's right around the corner now...I feel that chill in these old bones...time to crank up the woodstove, I guess...
Real nice job on those lures...I expect you'll be hammering the bass when the migration sends 'em back down your way...let us know how it goes...thanks for posting the pics..
