Can you guys help me out with the right size casting net to buy for the larger bunker. The first net I bought was a six footer with a 3/8 th's mesh. Too small and sinks to slow! Some of the guys at the dock are telling me I need a 9 footer with 1" inch mesh, and 1 pound of weight per foot. Anyone agree or recommend something else. Any info would be appreciated.

I agree with the 1 to 1.25 inch size to get it to sink fast.

I have a Betts 8 footer, that works well if the bunker are balled up and in under 15 feet of water after I extended the line.

a 10 footer would work better when the pickings are slim, but is harder to deal with.
