While reading another post, I realized that we have quite a few anglers working in the financial services sector. Would any of you folks have any interest in a market chat forum here?

I just thought it might be interesting to see anglers chatting about the markets. Or maybe not....

Anthony - the dollar certainly felt like the good 'ol greenback today. I hope this can last.

Fatties - there are many anglers who work in the financial sector on this board. Perhaps rather than a mkt chat thread, you might ask SPECIFIC questions about your 401 situation and see if anyone will/can help?

Bottom line: No go. Being that the thread was looked at only 30x, I guess that tells all. Let's just talk fishing!!

Who to Trust

The problem with the market now besides the Iraq issue is all the integrity that was lost with accounting scandels, Enron, Worldcom to name a few.

Also I don't blame the broker I blame the anylist who didn't have enough B*** to give an honest report on any company, there end result would be not be invited back for an anylist meeting if a bad report was given.

I took it in the shorts for almost 300K and the last thing I would want to see hear is BS about the market. And yes it was under the advice of a Finacial Consultant. He can Take his 30 years experience and shove it where the moon don't shine. I wanted out 2 years ago and he insisted that the was only a small correction.

I have him going for a NADA hearing.

I also heard the Merrill has set aside 3 BILLION for such cases. I guess they will take the charge now rather then later.

Keep the market report where it belongs and it is not here for sure

Not quick enough. Last year $2 USD = $1 CFP. Last week that ratio was 1:1. Anyone else ever paid $19.50 for a crappy Cheeseburger & Fries? When I say crappy, I mean skinny, probably frozen, and had 1 slice of cheese, about a handful of Shoestring fries (right out of the bag)
