Today i took off from work today to go fishing with my dad and the fishing was incredible. Me and my dad combined for 20 bass one being a keeper and as a real surprise catch i had a 16 inch fluke today as well. all the fish today was on the 4 ounce gold jig. I started off near mil basin no hits so i tried floyd bennett nothing there as well. i was getting worried two long drifts and nothing. its 11am and not a thing happening. next i tried the mpb and as soon as i dropped the jig down i was into bass right away from 11 to 12 i had 5 bass but no keepers. this was the last hour of the incoming so at settle tide we went for gas at tamaqua marina buy the time we got back to the bridge the tide was moving and i picked up another short bass at 23 inches. next drift i get a 16 inch fluke that i was shocked to see. we tried two more drifts but no hits so my dad suggests trying the wall and it was a great decision. as soon as i dropped down i was really into bass i had 5 bass in 10 minutes. then i get the hard run off and i see it and my dad nets it and i measure and its a keeper i was real excited. we tried two more drifts after the keeper and we had shorts again so we called it a day. not bad for such a bad start. 20 bass and a fluke in an hour and a half. i will be out on thursday cant wait. tight lines everyone happy halloween.
