This afternoon, my son and I got out for a short time. We fished for schoolies in the rocks. While the bite wasn't as intense as the past two days, my son was able to nail a 28 inch bass on an imitation peanut bunker fly. That was some fight because my son was still using a light test bonefish leader. He couldn't horse the fish in. After fighting the fish for about 15 minutes, my son was kind enough to let me take over. Wow, there's nothing like fighting a keeper striper on the fly rod. We managed to net the fish, measure it, take a photo, and send her on her merry way. She swam away strongly, despite the long fight. It was tough for me to fish while positioning the boat in the wind and not crashing into the rocks on the falling tide. I did manage a decent schoolie which really smacked the YoZuri Crystal Minnow. Fun, fun fun. Our little buddy Max fished near us this afternoon on his dinghy with his young friend. Being able to go anywhere, however shallow, they mauled the bass today, with Max landing a beautiful 32 inch bass, among many others. Good for you Maxie. Finally, I heard that there was a good bite on the outside this morning. Hopefully, the outside bassing will pick up so we're catching the many big bass we were catching 10 days ago. <like href="http://www.noreast.com/postedreports/view.cfm?id=186510" send="false" show_faces="false" width='layout="button_count"'></like>
