That's my point--his plugs are too pretty to actually use, especially during the day when blues are around. Those poppers are real works of art. I like the squid job at the bottom--no one else makes anything like it. I wonder how much the vinyl on the tail hook cuts down on the cast? Oops, second look, that's dyed bucktail, not vinyl.
Gibbs now makes a straight popper like that, but they're not thru-wired.
I still think Creek Chub gives you the best bang for the buck.
