All you're going to find at StripersOnline are poppers. Habs are nice poppers but Atoms are available everywhere, and work just as well. Cost less. And Creek Chub poppers work as well as any and are even cheaper. If you want some of Habs' kick-ass needlefish from StripersOnline, your gonna have to take a number and wait in line. They're back-ordered up the wazoo.

If you need Habs needlefish right now, your best bet is to drive up to Rhode Island and hit the local shops.

John Haberek is the designer and maker of Hab's Lures. It's a "cottage industry" type of operation located in Smithfield RI.

That's my point--his plugs are too pretty to actually use, especially during the day when blues are around. Those poppers are real works of art. I like the squid job at the bottom--no one else makes anything like it. I wonder how much the vinyl on the tail hook cuts down on the cast? Oops, second look, that's dyed bucktail, not vinyl.

Gibbs now makes a straight popper like that, but they're not thru-wired.

I still think Creek Chub gives you the best bang for the buck.
