Anyone going to the free Shimano Lucanus & Butterfly jigging workshop at The Reel Seat in Brielle, NJ on the 17th? I went to their workshop last year, learned alot and met Kil. I called them up and there are 3 different times: 10:00am, 1:00pm, and 3:00pm. I'll be at the 1:00pm workshop. Sounds great and its free. Maybe I'll win the rod this year like Kil did last year.

I attended last year's Shimano seminar. There is no ultimate jigging techniques and methods. I am constantly trying to learn or improve something by experimenting many different things and observing how others do.
The seminar was a good experience as they explained what the basic ideas for their products and technigues.
I introduced Shimano's Madie jigs in last May not knowing Shimano would introduce those jigs to the US.
I don't agree with those small hooks of the new jigs, but they believe there is valid reason for it. Hook sizes should be determined
by how hard the mouths are, how big the mouths are and how big the fish you target are.
