It is that glorious time of the year again... Somerset Fly Show!!!!


This is my first year in 7 that I am not working the Show and I am excited as all heck. I think I'm going up sometime tomorrow and aim to split my time evenly between casting Sage Rods and drinking beers.

Oh man... Sunday?!?!

Maybe I'll leave some decent bucktails or saddles for you guys...

All the tying fanatics usually show up on Friday to get first crack at the materials. All the seminar-hounds and celebrity-chasers show up on Saturday. All the guys working the show hate Saturday. Sunday is usually mellow, but there's not a single decent bucktail left in the whole **** building. Most of the guys working the show just want to end their misery. At least you do typically get the best deals on Sunday...

Friday is my favorite day... mellow like Sunday, the materials haven't been raided yet, and nobody working the show is contemplating sticking a bodkin threw their heart yet.
