THIS PAST WEEKEND I FISHED A PIECE IN THE MORNING, BY ABOUT 11:00AM THE WIND CHANGED DIRSCTION AND I WAS OFF MY SPOT ABOUT 20-40YDS, THE BITE SLOWED, SO I MOVED. MY QUESTION IS SHOULD YOU MOVE OR WILL THE FISH FOLLOW THE BAIT? KEEP IN MIND THAT TRYI9NG TO REANCHOR IN SUCH A CROWDED AREA IS NOT EASY, I WOULD HAVE HAD TO ANCHOR RIGHT OVER SOMEONE ELSES LINE SO I DIDN'T. ANYWAY ENDED THE DAY WITH 10 BLACKS ALL THE SAME SIZE IN THE 4LBS RANGE FOR ABOUT 3 HOURS WORTH OF FISHING. NOT BAD. THANKS GUYS.

Especially with Blackfish ....the fish are NOT going to follow your bait.
When the wind or tide swings you off the structure you have to make adjustments to get back on the structure.
obviously if doing so means getting in the way of another boat you have to find a new piece of structure..............unless of course you operate a party boat on the north shore.....then you just drop your anchor through the other boat's ****pit deck.(just kidding)

Ndorado...many times on a good spot when you swing off, you can actually pull the fish off the spot, and catch them out on the open bottom. So you stick with it till the bite slows down or stops. If you see the bite slowing down, make a move to reposition your boat. When you double anchor, you can lessen or prevent another boat from crowding you on a spot. But if you are using a single anchor its tough and sometimes, you just have to move away from a good spot, if you cannot reset your anchor correctly.
