Going along last week and the engine, John Deere 6076 AFM (300 HP) losses a few thousand RPMS and comes right backup to speed. It did it a few times so I changed out all of the fuel filters, cleaned everything and thought I was good to go.

On Yesterday's trip same thing but a little more loss of power and than she came right back up to where she was running. This happens only at cruising speeds and no where else.

There was no water in the Racor when I changed the filters, there was some crap at the bottom of the bowl which was cleaned out.

Any ideas what the problem may be?

Dave,
Do you have a vaccume gauge on the filter? Just thinking that maybe you have a restriction in the line before the filter.
One other thought, those engines have been know to have injection pump problems.

Not a lot to go on, but with a diesel its got to be either fuel or air. I would have the injection pump tested, it may be getting weak.

Unfortunately I have no guage for the turbo with the guage set up. Curt is out today and we will have to see how she performs, if it continues we will need to seriously dig into the problem.
