i have a transducer in my Bilge area for my color sounder. Over the winter month's it got loose, does anyone know what type of glue i should use to secure it down with??, its just sitting in my bilge, flying around and giving me false readings, any help is much appreciated!
Thanks

2 part epoxy is the best for anything permanent, polyurathane calk is another good one - the problem is you may want to take it out at some point.. In that case you better go with something non-permanet, worse senario you just need to glue it again.

I understand you don't want to screw into the hull, but there isn't any way to nicely secure it with mechanical fasteners? Is it near anything else that is fastened mechanicly - bilge pumps etc..?

1BAd,
To operate properly from inside the hull the transducer should sit in some sort of liquid, to prevent air from coming between the bottom of the transducer and the hull. You could build in some sort of mechanical fastening points in the box you're going to have to build.
