Hey guys,
I have a 2000 grady white 208 adventure and until now, have kept it on a lake during the summer months and from september until december, kept it at a vacant slip in one of the area marinas. After realizing just how much more fun we had fishing for blues, bass and tog, we are highly considering keeping the boat year round on the Sound. I called around last year and was supprised that the only storage available was rack storage at rex marine, which I hear mixed results about. I would like to be able to make late night and early morning trips and be free to go pretty much whenever I wanted to. I have heard that there is often damage to the boat, long waits to get the boat in the water, the lift operator expects a large tip everytime, etc. Ideally I would like to avoid the rack experience and was wondering if anyone knew off hand where I could sneak my 20 ft boat in. I could go anywhere from Stamford( a bit far but thats ok to Fairfield and everywhere inbetween. If anyone has any advice on where to try... and also their experience with rex rack storage, I would really appreciate some advice. I have discovered some nice pet spots over the last 6 fall seasons that I would not mind sharing with someone who was extra helpful. Thanks for the advice guys, this is a great site that we have going here.
