I haven't ever surf fished, unless you count trying to cast a grub and a spoon into a beach on Fire Island. I caught pounds upon poulds of--grass.
I'm looking for a good place near Bay Ridge for Surf Casting. Targeting Fluke, Stripers, Weakfish, Halibut, and Grouper (Black Sea Bass). Also, where on the beach, what lures or DEAD baits to use, what line wieght, etc. Thanks.

I dont know the area so I cant tell you where to go. I will say go to your local bait and tackle and ask them for some spots to go. If its a good shop they will be happy to help. Set up a fish finder rig and toss out some FRESH bunker or salted clams.
