Hi Noreast,

I know you folks are busy running a great publication and an even better site, but I can't help but to ask this question.

Is there any possible way to have the area that was fished come up next to the posted report heading? I can't count how many time something goes..."Back Bays Inlet". Then I look at it to find it is Moriches or Shinne****. Or better yet can we narrow the search like we do for boat or surf?

ie: Boat, FI inlet

Sort of how it comes up on the emailed reports.

I hope I am not being a pain, and by no means am I complaining. After all, it would take much more than this to get me off the site.

Mandatory

The Area field is indeed a mandatory field. I guess it might be a good idea to show it on the list like:
Fire Island > BackBays
We'll probably hook that up soon.

How do you like it?

I made the change in the Posted Reports section. But as a result it looks a little more cluttered, perhaps a little harder to read.
Do you folks like it better this way or the old way?

It does seem a lot more cluttered. I usually scan the type of fishing (surf/boat) visually and then look to the left to see where they were. You begin to realize where everyone is after watching this site for a while. I'd prefer the old way, let's see what the consensus is.

How about displaying an abbreviated version of the "area".ie HRV,NYB,D/J,FI,etc along with the long version so people will know what they mean. If not, I like the old way. Just my .02 cents.

It does look cluttered. I admit that, and I asked about the change. I thought everyone would benefit...guess not. Majority rules! Let it be done away with.

On a side note:

Like previously mentioned, abbreviations might help.

It may be a little less pleasing to the eye, but giving the report location makes the use of the posted reports section far more valuable. Good Job!
