LNB/Manhasset Reports

I fished with a few friends (Phil, Jay, Bob and Ed) this past Monday night in search of large Stripers (C&R).

We fished most part of the late ebb tide / Wind: Soft (5 knts) Southwest wind with occasional gust / Air temperature in the 50's / Water temperature: 44degrees / Water Visibility: Cloudy / Conditions: Scattering rain / Moon: Two days before New Moon / Method: Surf fishing (Chunking & lures)

All in all… We managed a few schoolies on plastics and swimming plugs but in general, the fishing was S L O W (no signs of bait). However, yours truly also culled a healthy 26.5 lbs. (38 inches) Striper at 2:25am on a fresh bunker head via circle hook. The fish was immediately released for another day's fight. :)
