i love live lining them in the late summer with a hook no larger than a 4/0. seems at time s the smaller the hook the better off u are with them. they are weakfish and large bass candy. i will use from 1/2 oz. hot tomale weights so there is next to no drag and all the way up to whatever is necessary for the conditions. 3' 30# at the heaviest flouro leader.

Thier are a couple advantages to using peanuts.First they are alot smaller(obviously) which means you can carry a lot more meaning you will catch more fish. Also you can use less weight to get them to the bottom. The disadvantage is they cant swim in areas were the current is fast making them look akward going through the water which wil not look so appealing to fish.

thats part of the reason i will never use large hooks on them. 4 is even a bit large. having them look a bit awkward is however an advantage. they are going to go after the easier target than the liveliest one. they can't fight instinct. i prefer 20# flouro for them and never go over 30# because it adversely effects the way they are presented. when u use them make sure u bring alot. they do not live long. and it can't hurt at all to liberally chum the water with them.

OK guys I got the Lit'l fishie Shad at Sport Authority about 3 years ago, they were on sale about $2.00 for a packet of 3..I went there yesterday to buy some line and look for them they don't have it any more also I'll recommend the Darting Shad when the Anchovies are around I got 5 keepers last week in NJ using them, the Flukes were trowing out Anchovies and I started using them and they work really good ,I got them at Wal Mart...one thing I believe in Fish attractant like Smelly Jelly or Bunker Fin-Essence because they work and I never live home without them...try them you will like it...Good luck...Fredd
