Good fishing sites
I used to fish a couple of these wrecks in the 50s and 60s and they were great for producing blackfish. The Gluckauf could be fished from the beach, and we would get loads of blacks useing sand locusts for bait in the spring and fall. it also held bass during the warmer weather. The Drumelzier (AKA the T wreck)was another good blackfish spot, we would tie up to the steering quadrant that protruded above the surface when conditions permitted and fish the hole the currant scoured out around the rudder. They line dragged the remains a few years ago because too many boats were hitting it.
