Light Tackle Cod Fishing

Anyone ever tried it? I'm thinking of giving it a shot over the summer, using a newell 220 matched to a "lep stick" with 12 lb power pro.

I've Done It...

The outfit you outlined above should work great. I would use 30 pound PP -- I don't think you'll gain much with the 12. I used to fish the light outfit with bait at Coxes Ledge year ago...Capt. Fred
