Any boat salvage yards on LI? Looking for misc boat parts, rails, fittings, accessories, etc
I've heard they exist...but I can't locate any.
Thanks, beached
There was a guy in Patchouge. I think the name of his place is Anything Marine I dont know if it still exists but he had tons of stuff. Sorry I can't tell you more.
I spoke w/ Anything Marine...They deal only with engine parts...with an occasional boat for stripping.
I'm looking for a salvage yard more for boat parts, etc.
Thanks, beached
I don't know the exact location but try thr Sayville Ship Yard in wets Sayville. They do a lot of work on Party boats and I am sure they have something for you if looking big.
If you have an older outboard and need parts then Henry at Anything Marine is the man to see. Need a starter for a '79 Merc? You'll never get one from a Merc dealer but Henry would have it. I have gone to him for midsections for motors that started right up and ran fine but were "frozen" (couldn't steer). Free motor with a $100 midsection and a few hours work and used it for years. If you just need rails, bits, etc. I would try a regular boatyard as they always have abandoned boats on their property and might let you salvage parts from them for a few bucks. Worth a try
